Hampir terjatuh Ain semasa mendengar kata- kata Jeffri itu. Dia mengurut dadanya kerana terasa seperti jantungnya sudah luruh. Terkejut sungguh. Seolah- olah terdengar guruh berdentum di langit. Jeffri tersenyum saja melihat tingkah Ain tadi. Pandangan Ain menyandar pada chalet yang kini tersergam di hadapan. "Honeymoon?" bisik Ain perlahan. Meremang bulu tengkuk.Berdebar seluruh rongga roh di dalam. Silap- silap hari bulan boleh sempot dan pengsan.
" Honeymoon!" jerit Ain yang kini sudah beralih dan matanya menyambar jasad Jeffri yang berdiri tidak jauh dari situ. Mahu saja ditampar kuat pipi licin Jeffri. Biar berbekas merah. Terbeliak mata Jeffri mendengar jeritan Ain itu. Terlambung jantung yang diam tadi.
" Jeffri Husin, are you proposing to me?" soal Ain. Entah daripada mana, tiba- tiba saja kata- kata itu terkeluar daripada mulut Ain. Mungkin tindak balas akibat perasaan terkejut.
" What?" spontan tanya Jeffri. Apa yang Ain maksudkan bertanya begitu? Akalnya diputar ligat untuk mengingatkan semula apa yang dia sudah terlepas kata tadi. Tidak sedar langsung apa yang terkeluar daripada mulutnya tadi. Ahhh! What have I said? Berkali- kali hatinya bertanya akal yang sedang ligat mencari patah bicaranya tadi.
